The Different Faces of Trauma

This unique informative one day workshop has been designed to equip clinicians, mental health workers, case managers, pastoral counselors, ministry leaders and advocates with a deeper knowledge base and effective therapeutic tools in addressing the different forms of trauma. It will review current psychological therapies and research studies that lend themselves to an eclectic perspective in creating emotional and behavioral transformations. Hence, they will experience an increase level of understanding the complex dynamics that occur amongst the survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Thus, the workshop will explore the multi-faceted components of trauma that include sexual assault and domestic violence interconnectedness, the tertiary impact of trauma, personality impairments, cross-cultural issues, assessment tools, and the emotional derivates of trauma survivors.

Integrating Christian Principles For The Treatment of Behavior Disorders in Children and Adolescents
This unique, informative workshop teaches how Christian principles and therapeutic tools can be easily interwoven to address common maladaptive behaviors in the home and school environments. It will demonstrate the necessity of developing obedience, character, discipline and unconditional love as foundational principles in establishing healthy behavior in children. Moreover, it will empower you with concrete and effective strategies in addressing behavioral management through Christian and reinforcement methods.

New Creation
This is a 10 week group series designed to assist in restoring and empowering individuals who have experienced sexual abuse. This group will creatively incorporate therapeutic, practical and spiritual methodologies to address the issues of childhood sexual abuse that include identity and shame based nature, body image, cycle of grief, spirituality and abuse, attachment dilemmas, unhealthy communication and boundaries, affect regulation and addictive behaviors, unresolved memories, and coping strategies and conflict management skills. Hence, the strengths based perspective will be utilized as a fundamental principle.

Trauma Amongst Adolescents
This is a one day seminar for adolescents who have been or are engaged in an unhealthy relationship and/or witnessed a domestic violence relationship. The goal is to restore their self-esteem, discuss the abusive cycle, instruct them about teen dating violence, develop a positive self-image, identify the common causes of an unhealthy relationship, educate them about the short-term and long-term effects of abuse, provide resources for assistance, recognize the myths associated with domestic violence and establish healthy communication and boundaries. Thus, this seminar will uniquely incorporate therapeutic, practical and spiritual methodologies.

Restoration
This unique 10 week group series is designed to assist in the restoring and empowering of individuals who have or are experiencing domestic violence. This group will explore the multifaceted components of intimate partner violence that includes its development and abusive cycle, personality impairments and role confusion, emotional derivates of trauma survivors, underlying issues of spirituality dilemmas, unhealthy communication and boundaries, and effective coping strategies and conflict management skills. Hence, the strengths based perspective will be utilized as a fundamental principle. Moreover, this group series will equip the participants with strategies in addressing trauma from an integrative approach of therapeutic, practical and spiritual methodologies.
 

Nicole welcomes the opportunities to share with others. She has a desire to empower individuals to fulfill their purpose by becoming restored vessels. Therefore, she has written a book to assist individuals in their restoration process.
